Biography
Patient centeredness is the core tenet of Dr. Ali’s practice. Her roles include addressing acute health concerns in all ages, diagnosis, and long-term follow-up of chronic conditions, as well as preventative care and wellness. Dr. Ali firmly believes that from the womb to the tomb, one’s greatest wealth is good health.
After attaining her Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences at St. George’s University, Grenada, she entered Medical School at the University of the West Indies (UWI) Cave Hill, and completed her clinical training at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Barbados in 2015. Dr. Ali then returned home to serve in the public healthcare system here. She has gained a combination of hospital and community experience, having spent the last 5 years working at several health centres, before recently joining the First Call Medical Services team.
Dr. Ali holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Family Medicine from UWI St. Augustine and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Family Medicine, to attain full specialization in her field, so that she can better advocate for her patients. She whole-heartedly aspires to make a difference in the well-being of those under her care. As Albert Einstein once said, “A life lived for others, is a life worth living.”
