Dr. Anushka Bissoon-Pustam has over 13 years of clinical experience having graduated from the University of the West Indies in 2009. She went on to complete her Masters in Public Health in2018 from the University of Roehampton.
Biography
Dr. Anushka Bissoon-Pustam has over 13 years of clinical experience having graduated from the University of the West Indies in 2009. She went on to complete her Masters in Public Health in 2018 from the University of Roehampton, UK which proved to be a great asset to her during the COVID-19 pandemic, where she was hand-picked to work at the Ministry of Health and help in developing protocols and policies related to the pandemic. She was then again chosen to spearhead the development of the National Non-Communicable Disease Unit at the Ministry of Health in 2022.
Currently, she is a practising Doctor in Medical Aesthetics trained and certified in Los Angeles and provides several non-invasive cosmetic services such as Botox, Dermal Fillers, Skin Rejuvenation with medical grade peels, laser and PRP treatment, just to name a few. Additionally, she works as a consultant with a regional public health agency providing support as a Medical Epidemiologist for disease surveillance.
Her clinical expertise spans through many disciplines including management of chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension, stroke, thyroid disease; minor surgical procedures; and other areas of general medicine with a special interest in Dermatology. Dr. Bissoon-Pustam is up to date in her clinical knowledge in both General Medicine and Aesthetics and is currently in pursuit of enhancing her Aesthetic and Dermatology practices.
